چکیده

Alchourrón devoted his last years to the analysis of the notion of defeasible conditionalization. He developed a formal system capturing the essentials of this notion. His definition of the defeasible conditional is given in terms of strict implication operator and a modal operator f which is interpreted as a revision function at the language level. In this paper, we will point out that this underlying revision function is more general than the well known AGM revision [4]. In addition, we will give a complete characterization of that more general kind of revision and will show how our more general model of revision permits to unify models of revision given by other authors.

A Successful DFT Tester: What Will It Look Like? Is Revolution in Test Approaches Required?

For many years, the semiconductor industry has been predicting the emergence of DFT tester market, enabled by increasing number of devices being designed with DFT methodologies such as scan and BIST. The search for low cost DFT tester solutions has resulted in the first ITRS roadmap for a DFT tester in 1999 and a major revision of this roadmap in 2001. While it is generally understood that a DF...

High-Throughput in Silico Structure Validation and Revision of Halogenated Natural Products Is Enabled by Parametric Corrections to DFT-Computed C NMR Chemical Shifts and Spin−Spin Coupling Constants

Halogenated natural products constitute diverse and promising feedstock for molecular pharmaceuticals. However, their solution-structure elucidation by NMR presents several challenges, including the lack of fast methods to compute C chemical shifts for carbons bearing heavy atoms. We show that parametric corrections to DFT-computed chemical shifts in conjunction with rf f-computed spin−spin cou...

Modeling Dependability of Dynamic Computing Systems

A trend actually characterizing any technological and application field is the use of control and computing devices. This moves the attention of the insiders on the management of more complex processes and systems, modifying requirements, tasks and skills. In this scenario the dependability evaluation becomes strategic. The increasing complexity of systems requires a serious revision of the tec...

Revocable Belief Revision

Krister Segerberg proposed irrevocable belief revision, to be contrasted with standard belief revision, in a setting wherein belief of propositional formulas is modelled explicitly. This suggests that in standard belief revision is revocable: one should be able to unmake (‘revoke’) the fresh belief in the revision formula, given yet further information that contradicts it. In a dynamic epistemi...
